When I was looking to hire a coach I wanted to create authenticity in my life and commitment to my word. In my work with Devon, I got clarity on what I want to create, which was to be perceived as someone to trust every time and all times.

I’ve had a coach for the past 20 years on and off, and the past 7 years I had a Coach full time and Devon made it easy for me to open up. My main concern was if I was going to “click” with Devon… since I was on the fence, I decided to have a conversation with him and “voila” magic happened, we “clicked” and he became my coach.

I could have kept going with my previous coach, and decided to go with Devon to adapt to a new coaching style and see if I learned something new… and I did! During the times in my business that I needed mentoring Devon provided both mentoring and coaching. He is genuine and full energy. I was always impressed on how he was in tune with my topics.

If someone was on the fence about hiring a coach I would say, when in doubt, try it… you might discover a whole new you and new opportunities that will allow you to grow. Think of coaching as an athlete, think of a coach, someone to make you better to play in the big leagues. Give it a shot, have a conversation and then decide… I would also like to add that “the investment in coaching with Devon has paid off at least 3x”

Devon helped me create clear goals for myself, practice authenticity at all times (at home, at work, with friends) and to be authentic, I had to deliver on my word all the time…I am a true fan of coaching.. I’ve been able to build an image and reputation with my colleagues and family/friends on someone who can be trusted, delivers my commitments, and cares for them.

What surprised me most and made me happiest about my investment in coach was when my teams’ feedback aligned with the future I created… I would get compliments such as “you are the best boss I’ve worked for”, “You are always developing me and I appreciate you for that”, and I would get other colleagues telling me “I would work for you the day you have an opening for me”… in addition, I got kudos from boss and my peers highlighting my empathetic skills (which I hardly had any before I started receiving coaching).
